Deep in the City

Recently, I had a wonderful opportunity to meet with a group of brothers and sisters in another part of town. He has been telling me about how his group had grown large a few years ago, but they lost the building they were renting and many of the people went elsewhere for better programs. Now, he has three smaller groups that meet in homes. Lives are being changed, but he is very sad about the loss of how things used to be. Yesterday, I was in his home and he began showing me pictures of the great things that …

There were so many emotions that went into this particular day. My family was here with us and they brought our kids with them on Monday helping with them while we were in meetings. We also had my grandfather, Bill Davis, with us. He has such a love for missions and works to start churches all over the world with …

Eyes of Anticipation

Can you look into those eyes and not wonder what they will see? As we sat at the intersection, I was captivated by these eyes. One of the members of our party spoke to her and asked her name in her heart language. She answered with a smile while sitting in the lap of her father who was driving the little family truck with her siblings and mother sitting in the front with them. The only seat was about the size of the back seat of a compact car.
What will …
